Leading a team of experienced specialists is one task, while driving business forward in Europe is yet another. To do both at the same time was extraordinary challenge, which we met head on. For a private equity-financed company that was to take its next steps in growth, our client was looking for a personality with experience in the industry and an affinity for sales. The focus was on land acquisition, project development, and team.
For a public client and infrastructure company operating nationwide, one for which we had already been able to fill positions such as construction manager (m/f/d), project manager (m/f/d) and planning engineer (m/f/d), we sought a Head of IT (m/f/d) who would drive forward the important topic of digitalization in general and BIM in particular, thereby making the department fit for the future in the company. The candidate market in this area is particularly narrow and highly competitive due to the timeliness of the topic and the few experts available.
The challenge in this case was to set up a new plant from scratch. Without guidance from the manufacturer, processes had to be identified and improved, among other things. The candidate had to have expert knowledge in both chemical processes and mechanical engineering. We were successful in recruiting a candidate from a foreign industry with many years of experience with the relevant materials and its processing.
